School Site Council at OPE

Each district school has an active School Site Council (SSC), which is comprised of an equal representation of elected school staff members and parents. SSC plays an important role in making recommendations to the principal at the school site level for funding of school programs that affect student achievement.

OPE has ten members on our 2025/2026 School Site Council, including five staff and five parents:

School Site Council supports and advises the School Plan for Student Achievement and related expenditures in accordance with all state and federal laws and regulations.

Parent SSC members are elected to two-year terms and are voted on by the parent community at OPE. Elections are held at the beginning of the school year.
