Encourage, challenge, and support your children to read books outside of the classroom to earn rewards, achieve their reading goals, and grow their love for books.
OPE READS is our 9-week school-wide reading challenge designed to spark imagination and joy in reading. This year’s theme is “Soar with a Story”— every Eagle can let their imagination take flight!
OPE READS Soars!
- Read every day outside of class—bedtime stories, favorite books, or new adventures all count!
- Log your minutes ONLINE – log each week’s minutes online. You will receive an individual email with your student ID and link to log and watch your student and classroom minutes soar! Please remember to log your minutes each weekend!
- Earn feathers for OPIE, your classroom eagle poster, as you reach milestones.
- Celebrate progress with prizes and an OPE READS MEDAL at the end of the challenge!
- Families can also print a Daily Reading Log to help track minutes at home.

Remember: Enter your minutes each weekend online using your student ID —minutes are checked on Mondays so you can earn feathers and rewards throughout the challenge!
