If your child has an idea for a club at OPE, they just need a staff advisor. Have them talk to their teacher about how to start their club and they can help them find the right person to help!

Math Club (3/4)

Rohrs’ Readers Book Club

Who: 4th-6th Graders

When: we will meet every 4-6 weeks on Tuesday at lunch. 11:35a-12:15p for 4th; 12:10p-12:50p 5th & 6th

Where: in the front of the OPE library under the white tent or in the library.

Bring your lunch and we eat while we chat.


How: Interested? Please email Jennifer.Rohr@eusd.net with your student’s full name, and a parent contact email, to be added to the interest list. If you are able to purchase your own book, please do. If you need a book purchased for you, please let Mrs. Rohr know in your interest email.

Also, the Libby App is free, all you need is a library card.  Libby has books to read or listen to for FREE!  It is my go to App for reading.  A great tip is buy or borrow the books over the summer so you can  stay ahead! Happy Reading!!!!!!!!!!

What: We work to support green efforts at OPE and in the community

Film Guild

Who: 4th & 5th Graders

What: Students are working on making a film that they can submit to the EUSD film guild that will then be judged by members of the EUSD community in March.

Kindness Club

Who: 5th & 6th Graders

What: The Kindness Club is for 5th and 6th grade students who want to help out with activities throughout the school year to create a culture of kindness, acceptance, and unity on our OPE campus. Kindness Club members also help out with the spirit assembly by assisting the PTA with positivity and excitement on our school spirit Fridays.

When: 2-3 times a month

Where: Trac Room 202

Why: To create a culture of kindess, acceptance, and unity on campus

Lunch Bunch

Who: 1st – 6th Graders

What: Lunch bunch is a place where students can meet and hang out with friends, meet new friends, play games, color, and create.

When: Lower grade lunch Thursday, Friday lunch all grades.

Where: Outside room 202 across from lunch tables

Why: Lunch bunch offers a safe, inclusive environment where students can take a break from the typical playground games.

Chess Club Kinder

Who: Kindergarteners

What: All levels of chess players are welcome to join. No sign up necessary. Volunteers needed.
